The Social Innovation Fellowship

The Social Innovation Fellowship

Applications are invited for The Bluhm/Helfand Social Innovation Fellowship from social entrepreneurs under the age of 35 from across the globe, working in either for-profit or not-for-profit ventures, enabling them to attend this once in a life time Chicago Ideas Week event.

The fellowship will award five young socially-conscious leaders who have developed ventures addressing critical social needs, and provides them with exposure to nationally recognized business and community leaders, funding to support their cause, and a platform for growth.

The five fellowship recipients will be hosted in Chicago for Chicago Ideas Week, taking place October 10-16 2011, all expenses paid. Fellows will gain exposure for their organization, establish a community of support, and receive a $10,000 financial contribution for their venture.

CIW Fellowship Track: Special programs for the Fellows will include private lunches and dinners, specially designed workshops, meetings with prospective funders, roundtables, media visibility, networking and discussion opportunities with other fellows.

VIP Access: Fellows will sit among the most influential leaders in the Midwest and abroad and have access to the growing list of already confirmed speakers, including Segway inventor Dean Kamen, world renowned psychologist Phil Zimbardo, NFL Hall of Fame member Ronnie Lott, futurist and hacker Pablos Holman, and award winning National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore.

VIP Dinners: Dinners feature intimate receptions with speakers, major philanthropists, and executives at unique locations throughout Chicago.
